Lovetta Fowler Obituary (1947 - 2015)

Lovetta Fowler, 67, Bismarck, North Dakota, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, January 15, 2015, at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan with Rev. Lester Wolfgram officiating. Inurnment will be in North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Lovetta was born August 24, 1947, in Bismarck, to Jay and Ruth (Reinschmidt) Corbin. She was raised in Bismarck, attended Wachter Grade School, and graduated from Bismarck High School. Lovetta had a green thumb for gardening and plants. She also enjoyed crocheting, anything outdoors, and loved learning new things. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. Lovetta worked various jobs in the community. Her last job was helping her mother manage the Heups Hotel. Lovetta married Ray Fowler. They moved to Sacramento California for Ray's job and remained there for ten years, before returning to Bismarck for their retirement. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Corbin, Bismarck; one sister-in-law, Luella Corbin; four stepchildren, Becky, Carla, Gene, and Clay; nephew, Marshall (Kayla) Corbin; two great-nieces, Lily and Charlie; and many aunts and cousins. Lovetta was preceded in death by husband, Ray; her father, Jay, and brother Tom Corbin.
