Delores Lundstrom Obituary (1942 - 2020)

DeLores J. (Oster) Lundstrom passed away at her home from cancer on April 28, 2020. Graveside Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 22, 2020, at Mandan Union Cemetery. DeLores J. Oster was born on July 16, 1942 to John and Christine (Bachmeier) Oster of Selfridge, ND. She grew up on her parent\u0027s farm near Selfridge and graduated from Selfridge High School where she played on the basketball team. She attended Capitol Commercial College, worked at the ASCS Office, Fort Yates Extension Office, Woolworth Company, and as an Avon representative for a number of years. She married Tim Hoffman Jr in 1965 and they had one son Tim. DeLores married her beloved husband Lonnie L. Lundstrom on September 30, 1989. They made their home in Mandan until they moved to their ranch near New Salem, ND in the fall of 2005. DeLores was a loving wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and no one left hungry from the holiday meals she made. She also loved to crochet blankets and pillow cases. Later in life she enjoyed attending horse sales at Kist Livestock. She loved her dogs, Duke and Bandit, the horses she and Lonnie cared for, and spending time with Lonnie\u0027s nieces and nephews. She was diagnosed with cancer in October 2019 and declined in health until her death. DeLores is survived by her husband, Lonnie, son, Tim (Juanita) Hoffman, step daughters Lana Sleeper \u0026 LaDonna (Les) Boehm, 7 step grandchildren, a number of step great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, Laurel Lundstrom, LeRoy (Jeanne) Lundstrom, sisters-in-law, Leila Joyce Rewald, Linnea Reeves, and Lola (Mark) Kostelecky. She was preceded in death by her parents, John \u0026 Christine (Bachmeier) Oster, a sister in infancy, father-in-law, Loraine E. Lundstrom, mother-in-law, Alice F. Lundstrom, step granddaughter, Angie Boehm, sisters-in-law, Cheryl J. Lundstrom \u0026 Leona Lundstrom, brother-in-law, Larry Lundstrom \u0026 step son-in-law, Brian Sleeper. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Dawise Funeral Home, Mandan.
