His family will be celebrating his life at Jaycee Park, indoor shelter from 10-2:00 PM, Saturday, May 30, 2020. (Century and 4th Street) Cremation has taken place. Bryan was born December 14, 1959, at Bismarck, ND, to Raymond and Marlys (Skaley) Lauer. He was raised and educated in Bismarck. He loved to paint. He owned Lauer Painting for many years. He did numerous projects over the years, including painting "Faith Chests" for First Lutheran Church, Bismarck and painting bark.
Bryan as a kid looked forward to spending the summers up at his grandpa and grandma Skaley's farm. He loved grandma's pancakes and the boys would try to see who could eat the most. Bryan would always win.
Bryan joined the United States Army, February 14, 1979, along with his brother Kirk.
Bryan had stepchildren from two previous marriages. His family meant more to him than one can ever put into words. He loved those children as if they were his own, Cheryl Schultz, Todd Smith, Johanna Draper, Valinda and Louise Tyndall
Bryan took much pride in his work, the men that worked with him side by side and his generals were like family. A very special thanks to Mark Fleck, Gary Schmitcke, Rodney Bohl, Joe Homan and Jim Ferderer for coming together and creating a beautiful wooden enclosure for Bryan's master piece.
A very special thanks to the VA, and to Sanford Hospice, especially his nurse, Lisa Goetz. The care, love and support we will forever be grateful.
He is survived by his parents, Raymond (Marcella), and Marlys (Randy) Anderson; brothers, Kirk (Shereen), and Dave; sisters, Michelle Bachmeier and Melissa Ruff; niece, Cortney (Jeremy) her children, Austen (Krystel), Talitha, and Karsen; great-great nephew, Asher; nephews Kalon and Kyle, numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and dear friends, Dale Swenson and Al Patterson
Bryan was preceded in death by his loving dog Chili.
